After some thought, I like Ricardo's idea for a tribute of a gray colour scheme! If you are going to have a tribute you might as well do it properly. Preferably it is a tribute to all those who have died racing, and is a one off. I dont think I ever watched Dan Wheldon race, but I have enjoyed watching footage of Simonicelli, Senna, and many others.
Currently we have the best livery in the RDLMS and well done whoever designed it! I know changing it will use one of our limited opportunities to gain recognition and that our pink colour scheme stands out and looks fantastic. And yes friends and foes will be unlikely to notice the change after only 1 race. However Ricardo's scheme would be a fantastic bold & generous tribute, both haunting and evocative of the dark history of motor racing. If properly explained to the community it would gain us recognition and coverage to counteract the loss of our bright and beautiful pink.
If others share my veiw, the Motul sponsor should not be coloured! Any colour draws the focus of the eye, Motul are not important. Also could we consider removing sponsors as part of the tribute. Sorry I cant keep myself off the forum at the moment, the novelty must wear off soon.
