| A german endurance league (racers league RLMS). Their seasons run for a year (with a brake mid-summer), one race a month with a few test runs beforehand. Their entry list is rather full at the moment, but maybe this is something we might consider to enter. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | |

| Sign-ups for RD 24h Nordschleife are open. Should I write up a application?
edit: I put our team on the list. We can always drop out when necessary.

| 1st qualifying for the HSO 6 hours was today. I didnt do a particularly good job qualifying a provisional 21st/23 with some further runners likely to add to the grid in second qualifying on Saturday. I didnt have much chance to set laps as I needed to test driver swaps with my teammate. I have been concerned that our Porsche 908 is far too slow but then i got beaten by people in the same car so no excuses. It is possible to use the h-box upgrade and auto shifting but most teams are probably not doing that. This is a much more laid back event than endurance rfactor, its been first come first served entry for the race and its still possible to enter. | I am quite excited about this, we would have an advantage of already having driven sebring and elkhart lake and a 24 hours race with race connection would be dream. 7 teams disconnected during driver swaps yesterday and for 24 hrs I think a race without a plugin will result in less than a quarter of the field finishing. I would be interested in raphaels experience of a 24 hour race and arturs opinion of endurance inside.
Yesterday in the wsc 1970 race we finished a competitive 11th of 14 finishers having qualified on the last row. I had a really fun race moving from 21st to 10th during a 3hr stint in the middle*. I chased down cars that were 2 laps ahead of me. Even though our car was very slow on the straights I unlapped myself against various cars many times. We had a good race and were ahead of whee we should have been because we avoided unscheduled stops and didn't spin. It was a classic case of tortoises and hares. The no of discos may have been thanks to not setting the same upgrades on the car as well as other common problems.
*Edit on reading my teammates blog I actually made my way from 15th to 10th rather than 21st to 10th. Ah well lol.

| I see the links thanks. Of course I am not decided that we should do EIIC, we can look at all options and I know you are not decided either Marcel. As i said before we could benefit from hearing from Artur, Raphael and anyone else and there will not be a rush to decide as we have plenty to keep ourselves busy with thanks to the Nords 24hr.
It was just the lack of dates on the poster made me look into it. And I really want to do 24 hrs with a plug in.

| Just realised that the VLN mod does copy from GTR but at least its meant to require a GTR evo disk. I think Raceconnect uploaded a version where you dont need that. Its not a great mod but I am looking forward to the race nonetheless. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | |

| jup, race connect has a version (1.0)* that doesn't need the gtr disc (wouldn't be able to play this mod otherwise)
*Not sure but I believe I have read in some places about a vln05 v1.1, even about vln07. (maybe not supported officially?)

| Hi I am looking forward to the race this afternoon and after trying a few cars I settled on the 996 GT3 RSR car # 115. I tried faster cars but found this one the easiest to handle over the entire lap. My best time with it is 9:10:058. I have no idea where that puts me in relation to anyone else . I hope to do 9:20s in the race which seems to be my average when I do not try to ripe up the tarmac. Good luck guys see on track.

| Pretty gutting. I had no idea there was any kind of penalty. There was no warning or clue. I didnt remember not deregistering either.
But really its more the action on track that counts so it was fun and next time will be fun too.

| aww... thats bad. Its still a win, although secretly. Anyway I should have concentrated myself on EIIC or RD24H. 2 days of preparation, working on the bmw setup for a 2 minutes race. pfft. | |

| I think it helps prepare for the 24. What happened?
Also it made me realise how tough 24 hrs will be because I have not yet got through without crashing
