I just signed up to Eurosport stream. I hope there is not a free version that I am missing.

Pheww I've seen this in the recap this morning; highlights of the night. Some bad things happened during the night. Corvette for example lost a tire and is now struggling with gearbox problems, same with #51 (brundle & son). #67 (narac & co) lost the clutch yesterday but still aiming for 1st place lol in GT2 AM. #74 Corvette was almost taken out by an Audi inside the Porsche curves. Probably a revenge of an earlier situation when the Corvette was standing at the end of mulsanne straight inside the corner while an Audi approached which had to take a detour through the sand lol.
Oh and not to speak of Pescarolos Dome, being longer in the pits then on track. It's a beautiful car but what a waste for the drivers.
If I understood it correctly they used that car as a test mobile for the construction of the Toyotas. Some rudimentary parts of the test equipment must still be in that Dome and cause the trouble they are facing. Well I can't say that for sure but that was the word from the commentators.
Bold claim by the Ferrari driver that it was not his fault causing that horrible accident with Toyota's driver.
edit: but let me add something about the commentary being trustworthy: they said that IMSA Performance is a amateur racing team and Narac has not much experience lol.

Great race, but the finish was mediocre. Both, from a Eurosport TV audience point of view and Audi fan. Now I'm no a fan of Audi, but their performance wasn't great. Given that they hadn't a single serious competitor for more then half of the 24hrs their racing was subpar although Dumas show after his crash was unparalleled. The full coverage, complete on screen time of the Audi finish and following endless interviews with the usual yada yada by Ullrich and company was a let down for those (me :P ) who wanted to see all the cars crossing the finish line and seeing the drivers of all classes celebrating.

Hi guys! Haven't been here in a while - been awfully busy with work, but I have recently finished (conveniently before Le Mans, ha) - so I thought that I would just pop in, say hi and see how all of you are getting on!
Cracking race this weekend; nonetheless, I couldn't agree with Marcel's comment more! The race started dragging on a bit towards the end, which was a shame. Some of the coverage was quite irritating too; I really wanted to see that GT AM battle for first between the Ferrari and Porsche. Hopefully the race will be (a bit) more interesting next year!

good to hear from you daiman, p1 class was a bit dull because of lack of competition even though audi tried their best to make a show. The TV director (read Audi employee) should be shot lol Great to see Brundle and Toyota there. Like Marcel I am looking forward to Porsche in 2014.

I guess the new ACO/FIA regulations are the reasons for Porsche to back off until 2014. I desperately hope not, but it looks like Porsche will come to an stop with the RSR. The rear engine and its momentum have been the strong point of the RSR but with the new restrictions the car doesn't seem to be competitive anymore; more like running on a low flame. Just take a look at the time tables from Le Mans and you'll see that the 2011 RSR is as fast as, if not faster then, the 2012 version.
